Re: Lupron...looking for advice

I've been on Lupron for a month, and I haven't really had any really bad side effects. The hot flashes are annoying, especially here in Atlanta, where it is still 90F degrees! My pain has been helped by it, as far as I can tell. That also could be because I just had a lap. Either way, I feel better. I would definitely do research on it though, and decide for yourself if you feel it's something you want to try. I did research it and was concerned about the side effects, but in the end I decided I was just in too much pain to not try something that could possibly help. If you do decide to try it, I would definitely ask your doctor about Addback therapy. It is a pill that you take every day, and it gives your body back a little bit of the estrogen and progesterone that it is missing by being in 'medical menopause'. I think it has helped me a lot.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, you can email me at dgrace18@bellsouth.net
