Follicle cysts development every month during ovulation. Follicle cysts can also collapse causing a persistent cyst for a period of several months. This happened to me and slowly but surely the cyst went away. There are bad cysts also, but if you just had a lap, the chance of it being an endometrioma or somehting of that nature is probably unlikely.
