Hi Heather, I am so sorry to hear you are feeling depressed. Seven weeks post-op is still in that recuperation window so remember that is probably playing a part but my main concern here is that your body has changed and it sounds to me as though perhaps in that change you are needing a different medication or perhaps a stronger dosage during this transition and recovery time. Do you feel it was working before the surgery to control depression? That is the main question. It is best to discuss this all with your doctor. Keep you chin up, try to do things that make you feel happy but be careful not to strain yourself. Read a good inspirational book!! Also, you might want to visit the post-op board at hystersisters for some other advise/ideas. Elizabeth M.
