Lap is Tomorrow....nervous

Well the countdown is finally at an end. I am scheduled to get my first and I hope only Laparoscopy in the morning (July 30th) and I must confess that I am starting to get a little nervous. I'm not good with hospitals as a visitor, much less a patient. I was in on Friday for all my pre-op Labs, seemed like they drew about a billion vials of blood and checked everything there was to check, including giving me a pregnancy test of all things! I know it's standatd procedure, but I still thought it was funny given how hard a time I had getting pregnant with my second daughter. I've been puttering around all day trying to keep busy and assure my oldest daughter that mommy will be just fine and home that afternoon. It sounds convincing enough when I hear myself say it. I got to see my orders when I toured the day surgery unit last week. They're going to do a D&C as well while they're in there and something I can't spell or pronounce that involves checking my bladder and bowels.She- my OBGYN- says it's beacause of the complaining I've been doing about my rectum itching and the constapation I've been experiencing in these past few months. The pain has always been in my ovary. Could the endo actually be somewhere else? Of course I would have to start my period the day before the surgery! It's not even a period really, just alot of blood streaked mucus so far. It hurts like hell though. My doc seems to think it's my nerves that have thrown my period a little wonky since we've established I'm not pregnant. Well, I just wanted to thank all of you so much for the advice and calming words you have offered me. You've helped me deal with this so much more then any doctor I've been to see for the simple reason that you believe and understand me. That in itself has been a life line I cannot thank you enough for. I'm hopeful that all will go smoothly, and that I may have some pain free days ahead of me.
