Re: Stress-out please reply.From: Mindy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Jul 29 12:15:54 2002
This is my experience. I thought endo was the cause of my everyday pain. Come to find out that I still had pain after my surgery with Dr. R EXCEPT that I was painfree during my period! My abdomen ached and hurt bad all of the time, especially when I would sit, and at midcycle I was having pain also. My doc put me in Physical Therapy and it made a huge difference! My abdomen doesn't hurt anymore like it used to. The PT was not fun at all, but well worth it. When I was still complaining of pain at midcycle, I was sent to a uro/gyno and was diagnosed with IC. I also suffer from chronic UTI's that cause terrible pelvic pain. I also get cysts that burst every once in a while that hurt like h*ll, but then the fluid that comes out of the cyst sits on the pelvic floor causing pain. What I have discovered for me is that my Endo pain occurs 1-2 days prior to my period and days 1-3 of my period. I think that hormone fluctuations can cause endo to be painful through out the month, but I am not sure. There are many causes of pelvic pain. If your Endo is removed by a skilled and experienced surgeon, and you still have pain, it might be due to other things. Mindy :-)
