Re: How many of you use progesterone cream for your Endo? From: Renee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Jul 27 01:03:35 2002
Kelly: Have you experienced any negative side effects from the Phyto Prolief? I believe the Phyto Prolief is the one which contains estrogenic herbs as well as the progesterone. The Prolief contains only the progesterone. Why did your rep put you on the cream with the estrogenic herbs? I thought those of us with endo aren't supposed to use estrogenic herbs???? I was going to try the Prolief cream (progesterone only cream) but have been hesitant to do so because I'm afraid to mess with more hormones since I'm already such a mess. My hair is thinning beyond belief -- it so depressing. My face looks horrible -- acne, skin looks older since I've gotten off of the pill, etc.. So I'm wondering whether the Prolief will cause me to lose even more hair? Maybe I should try the one with the estrogenic herbs after all? I know I can't eat anything estrogenic cause it flares me -- don't know how it would affect me through a topical agent though. *** Is it the estrogen or progesterone which helps against thinning hair and acne? *** I'm afraid its the estrogen which gives the lush hair and good skin??? Please any of you who know the answer, please respond. Slowly going bald :o(, Renee
