Re: Why I don't recommend continuous BCP therapy for those whove had endo cysts

I have been on continuous birth control pills since October 2001. Since taking it all my endo symptoms have diminished significantly. They have pretty much stopped! I am wondering now whether I should ask my doctor about coming off the pill every three months. Which is the more common way of taking the pill--continuously or continuously for three months and then off. Is your period at three months very bad. I have not been able to find a doctor who specializes in endo (live in NY) but I am wondering what the top people in the field feel about this issue. Anyone know?

Thanks, Ann
