Re: Anyone Had Bowel Trouble After Lap?

Interesting that you ask.... I had a lap done this past Monday ( the 15th). I had a uterine suspension done and they removed some scar tissue. Well, I hadn't really thought about it but I realized yesterday that I hadn't went to the bathroom since.. Kindof normal for me though so I didn't get too alarmed. Well, not to get too gross... But I was in the bathroom last night for two hours straining. It was horrible. I am not supposed to push, but anyone who has been through this knows you can't help but push. I ended up with a lot of relief.... too much I am worried. I felt this huge thump right on my incision and it has me scared to death. I called the doctor and he said it is possible that I just pushed my uterus right back into the old position.... What was I supposed to do? I am very nervous... I will find out in the morning once I see the doctor. I will post again then.

My word of advice..... Anyone taking pain pills.... Take stool softeners.... I would give anything to take back time so that I could have been taking them this week.

Sorry for the long explanation... Good luck to everyone.
