Re: Pain in ovaries while using progesterone creamFrom: Trish (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jul 17 01:12:26 2002
Btroost: Are you speaking of follicular cysts? (Follicular cysts being the cysts that occur naturally in all ovulating women on a monthly basis). If yes, then wouldn't the follicular cyst "pop" on its own (unless one is progesterone deficient/estrogen dominant)? Breanna's experience concerns me because I was considering using progesterone cream to 1)bring on my menstrual cycles, 2) to keep endo at bay if such a thing is possible with progesterone cream, and 3) balance my hormones. BUT if the progesterone cream caused Breanna's ovaries to throb, I am concerned. I don't want to activate my estrogen receptors. I want my estrogen receptors to relax and lay low LOL because its the estrogen which flares my endo -- **although, come to think of it, when my endo was at its worst (before endo surgery), my endo pain lasted throughout the month including both the estrogen and progesterone phase of the cycle. ***So maybe both estrogen and progesterone flare my endo (**could that be what is going on with Breanna as well?)?***
