endometrosisFrom: alta (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Jul 15 22:02:34 2002
i was first diagnosed with endometrosis at 17, i was told that i had a 30% chance of ever having a child. at 20 i had my daughter.for 1 1/2 yrs i have been virtually pain free until recently, it has come back almost as bad as before. i wasn't well informed by any of my doctors as to how serious this can become over time. the doctor i have now i'm not sure if he is taking me seriously. my husband and i want to have more children but i'm afraid that if we wait any longer i won't be able to.are the chances of infertity as high after a pregnancy as before one. i don't know what kind of options a ordinary person has for treatment. i had a laporoscopy at 18 which went horribly wrong and i'm terrifyed of having another! is pregnancy and a hystorectomy my only option? please any advise would be so appreciated. thank you
