Re: Has Anyone Had Surgery with an Oncologist?

I am having a hysterectomy in August. My OB GYN is going to have a oncologist there to assist.

I have a grapefruit size fibroid in my uterus. When he went to biopsy it, he could not get to it because of all the adhesions blocking the way. Also when he did the ultrasound, he was unable to see my overies. So his reasoning behind the oncologist, is just as a precaution. At first I was very upset that he would even suspect, but now that it has sunk in, I am glad that he is going to be there.

Good luck. Let me know how it goes.
