Heart disease is THE major killer of women AND men . If you have a family history of heart disease and osteoporosis , you will probably get these diseases whether or not you had a hyst. My grandmother and mother both had hysts, lived long lives without HRT and never got those dieases. I've also had a hyst, am 45, ,just had a complete physical and am completely healthy. In my case , hysterectomy turned out to be a godsend. For those still in pain, I offer my prayers.
