>The Pap smear after a hysterectomy will detect if you have vaginal cancer. I'd get a new doctor. In whose opinion is he "good" and why do they think so? I just had a PAP, and I had a hyst 2 years ago... my gyn teaches at a major medical school in Massachusetts so I would assume he's practicing with the latest standards.
