Emily,

Health issues was the reason I quit my job. With my job I was working the nite shift and it was 12 hours long. It was just too difficult for me.

And I was afraid of possibly getting fired for having called in sick a total of 4 times. My endo has gotten so bad that I was about ready to give the number of my dr to my charge nurse in case anything ever happened that I couldn't talk to them myself.

And even though I had only been there for 3 months (probationary period was 6 months) I knew that there was the chance that they could use this against me even though it wasn't my fault that I started getting so sick. When I first put in for the job I knew at the time that the Endo wasn't going to interfere with things but by April and in to May it started to do so.

I'm really not sure how I will need to handle this in the future whenever I get another job b/c like I told my mom and friends told me this too that my health comes first. Also friends warned me that working 12 hours might be too hard on me.

May I ask where you can find the info about Endo being protected under the ADA?

I'm thinking about calling the EEOC to tell them about this situation b/c of the fact that I had to quit and also about some other reasons (won't go in to them here) that also put the icing on the cake for why I had to quit.

Feel free to e-mail the information to me privately.
