Re: question about endoFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jun 13 22:41:20 2002
Yes, I have the same problem. And yes, I think it is somehow related to whatever it is that causes us to have endo. Do a yahoo search on interstitial cystitis and you will come up with a few good websites re the IC organizations. It is not uncommon for women with endo to have IC. I have no medical education but I think it has something to do with the inflammation of the mast cells. Supposedly the latest research contends that endo is related to a defective gene which involves some type of failure of our inflammation gene to turn off (to quote me on this -- I've "heard" this through word of mouth, so don't take what I'm saying as gospel w/o doing the research ((LOL I haven't even bothered to research it -- I'm getting pretty lazy lol))) -- anyway, I think the two are related in those of us with endo. I have noticed, though, that staying away from the trigger foods/beverages/products listed on the IC network, makes a huge difference.
