Need advive about IUI

I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Endometriosis last month after having a laporoscopy. My doctor told me that my chances of having children are 50-50. Right now I am 19 years old and am considering being artificially insiminated in a few years so that I will know if I can have children and hopefully I will conceive. I need to know if I am being too drastic, or if this is what's best for me and my future baby. Having children means a lot to me. Also, if you have any information about AI I would like to know. How do you select a donor, how much does it cost, and do I need a referral from my gyn.? Would I be considered a good candidate for this procedure?
