Re: another question, my ob/gyn doc does not believe in pap smears after hyst..From: Paivi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jun 5 22:24:10 2002
Hi Gayle. I talked to my family doctor about hystorectomy during my last pap, and he said that I needed to continue the paps even after the hysto. As long as some parts are still there, it's possible for cancer to hit. Out of caution, keep getting the paps, it is the greatest aid in early warning
> ----- Original Message ----- i went to a new ob/gyn because i heard he was good, but he does not believe in pap smears if your female parts were removed not because of cancer.. i havent had one done in about 3 years,, what do you all think?? do you all still get pap smears done even if you have had hystectomy?? thanks alot as usual...
