It's funny...that's kinda how I got started with the whole endo thing...I had two giagantic tumors on my ovaries...and when the pain didn't go away after the surgery...endo quickly came to mind to my doctors. There are several different treatments....Lupron, Syranel(I just started this today), surgical laparscopy, hysterectomy, pain clinics, etc. There are so many different ways out there...it all depends on the individual and how they will respond to the meds. With the lap, the damaged tissue, adhesiions, can be removed either w/ mini scissors or a lazor. Most cases, the lap is done and then you are placed on a GHg...agonist hormone treatment...which is the Lupron or Syranel. These suppress your estrogen, which is believed to cause the endo. These meds induce menopause symptoms while on them...hot flashes, mood swings, breast changes, weight gain, etc. Again, these meds effect every woman differently. Make sure that you discuss with your gyn all the possibilities and do some research on these treatments. Good luck!
