Syranol....effects???From: Kayla (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu May 30 20:51:26 2002
Hey gals! I just went to my gyn today to follow up from the last appointment. She has several final possibilities that could be causing the pelvic pain....adhesions from scar tissue, endo, and/or bowel problems. Before she would put me under general anestesia for the third time this year, she wants to try the Syranol...simialr to Lupron but it's a nose spray. I was wondering if anyone has used the Syranol and what they thought. Did it help? How long does it take to feel a difference? What should I expect? My gyn said that I would be crabby and I quote "bitchy!". I've never heard a doc swear to a patient before....to elaborate a side effect....LoL! What can I do to help myself w/ all of this? Is there anything that I can do for myself? I've heard that being on Lupron ...which is very similar to Syranol is like being on chemo....is that true? Does it really wipe you out like that? This is all new to me, so I am very scared and skeptical. I want to do whats best for me and whats best in the long run. Most likely, I will be finishing college near home and my doctor because of all this crap.....that was one of my gyn's major concerns especially if the pain starts really acting up again...right now it's controllable. I would just appreciate to hear how others have gone through this and how they made it. What about explaining this to my mother? She's stressed about this....alot and I want her to know that I really do have these bad cramps on and off but at the same time, I don't want her to worry too much.......if you know what I mean. I love her more than anything in this world...same w/ my family. I am only 19 and this isn't something that I should have to deal with, right? Thanks all....sorry it's so long!
