There are also nonsurgical ways to deal with the adhesions in many cases. I believe the theory that endo is a symptom of estrogen dominance and not a disease in and of itself, so using progesterone cream will benefit the body in many other ways. It sure has with me! On the other hand, even the best excision specialist may not get all the endo and then you are back where you started and may have the complications caused by surgery. John Lee's book on menopause has an excellent explanation of how our hormones work and this all makes a lot of sense in that context.
