Re: pains are back after surgeryFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri May 17 18:01:51 2002
You're story sounds awfully familiar. I had my first lap in sept 2001 where I was diagnosed with stage 4 or 5 endo. My gyn said he got it all and I believed him too as he is considered one of the best gyn's here in Australia. The first period after that was so bad, I thought I was going to die! So he put me on a bcp and told me to take it continuously. I was still getting pains on and off but I think I was just getting used to it. After Xmas, it got a bit worse, or maybe I didn't want to put up with it anymore so I went and got second opinion and he said he wanted to do another lap, this was in jan 2002. He found MORE endo. Still, I don't know whether it was endo which the first gyn missed or whether it was new endo. However, it was in areas which didn't have endo the first time. My second gyn said he removed it all. Then he put me on the pill again but after a couple of months I told him it wasn't working because I was still in pain. Ever since then I have been in pain(also the back pain, rectum pain etc etc) and I am due to see my gyn in a couple of weeks. So if I were you I would get a second opinion or go back to your gyn in a month or so.
