Hi Kari, I was diagnosed with endo about 15 yrs ago after difficulty conceiving. Three years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer (very early, non invasive) From what I read, There is a higher incidence of bc in women with endo. Also thyroid disease. My endo has gotten to the point that I need a total hysterectomy (I recently had a bowel obstruction) but don't know if I can take estrogen, drs. are reviewing my case. Are you affiliated with a top knotch hospital and Dr? I would recommend a breast surgeon, not a general surgeon, and a recommendation from your gyn. Although I am in my early 40s, I too feel young to have all this medical junk that seems to be related to endometriosis. Even a threat of bc is scary. Just take it one day at a time. Good luck.
