Hi Melissa, I am also new to having this disease. I also do not have severe pain symptoms like you do (so far my endometriosis is only on the surface of the cervix). But, I would not want to have to take all of these hormones either. I am even unsure about just taking BCP's. Have you discussed surgery with your doctor? I am under the impression (which could be a mistaken one) that a laparoscopy can allow the doctor to identify endometrial growths in your pelvic area and remove them (or something similar). Of course, they can always come back, but BCP's are supposed to help inhibit the endo growths. I would ask him about that procedure. If he hasn't even mentioned it, I might consider getting another doc. :) Good luck, Natalie
