Hi there...Yes, the green pills are placebo pills. In order to stop your period you would have to start a new pack after three weeks. In other words: don't take the green pills, but start a new pack. Orthocyclen is constant hormones in the sense that unlike ortho TRI cyclen the amount of hormones don't change throughout the cycle. This however has nothing to do with the placebo pills, which to my knowledge are still common to all birth control pills. Hope this helps...I've been on both. I hope your cramps get better, but give it a couple of months. Also, don't be surprised if you have a little breakthrough bleeding when you start on the continuous pills. It is common. Good luck! >
