Reply: Sarah: "Re: belly button problems since lap." I have had a smelly bellybutton for the past 5-6 years. I have had cultures taken from it and it is not an infection. I am due to have a laparoscopy in the next 12 months to see if I have endometriosis. My doctor seems to think that I have and I have always wondered if my discharge is to do with the endo as my discharge happens twice a month. Normally just before ovulation and then again just before menstruation. I wonder if I am the only one that has these symptoms?
