After two years of horrible side effects, I am finally on a BC that works for me; triphasal. I`ve tried BCs on eaither end of the scale, and the side effects were terrible. Here`s my problem. I am currently living in Japan on a teaching exchange. My current stock of triphasal will last me until August 2002. I had origionaly planned to return to Canada at that time, and to renew my perscription, however, new obligations require me to stay in Japan unitl December 2002. Obtaining a BC perscription in Japan in extreamly difficult (it has only been leagle since 1999) and doctors tend to perscribe older, outdated, brands of the pill (if they will perscribe it at all). Since I`ve had so many problems with other brands, I am reluctant to take this course of action. Does anybody know of any way I can have an exam in Japan, and send the results to a doctor overseas to renew my perscription? Or if I can have a doctor in Japan request triphasal from a pharm. company? Help! I can add that condoms are almost impossible to find in rural Japan, so other forms of BC are difficult alternatives.
