Need Advice !From: Veronica (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Apr 14 23:55:02 2002
Hello, I'm really needing some advice from you fine ladies. I was diagnosed in January with stage IV endo of the vaginal canal, pelvic floor, and possibly bowels. I have had endo for the last 10 years. I have had 5 laps and a complete everything removed hysterectomy in 96'. Now I'm dealing with it again. My current doctor put me on Dep-Provera in January. I did two months and went off because I couldn't handling the side effects which were head-to-toe joint pain, extreme tiredness, dizzy spells, weakness and most of all the pain was worse than before. Three weeks ago the pain intensified and it took me two days to get a hold of my doctor to get some relief. Plus he wasn't very nice on the phone; he said that he couldn't believe that I could possibly be in pain. I also told him that I wanted to discontinue the Depo-Provera and he said I shouldn't and made some snide remark that if I did discontinue then I would be responsible for my own pain. I was so upset that all I wanted to do was cry. Well it's been three weeks and I'm still dealing with the pain, the pain relief he prescribed isn't helping and I don't know what to do. I am in the process of switching to a reproductive endocrinologist. But I can't get in until May 14th. I can't last that long. I called last week and was told that since I'm not yet a patient of the new doctor I will have to see the current doctor until then. I really don't want to have to see him after what happened, he makes me feel uncomfortable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for Listening
-- Veronica :)
