Hi Anna:

i am very sorry about what happened to you.

I have done extensive reading, and I have never seen anything credible supporting such a theory! Endometriosis is a physical condition in which your uterine lining grows outside of the uterus. I have seen many studies attempting to determine the cause of endo, but I have never seen one suggesting a relationship to childhood sexual abuse.

There are some theories that abuse may contribute to pelvic pain, or to the pain perceptors (makes you feel pain more), but no, I don't think that there is even one documented case of endo being caused by abuse.

If someone is telling you this, I really think that they are mistaken. Best wishes.
