Re: Olga, can't look at your web sightFrom: Olga (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Mar 31 20:15:54 2002
Ladies, Since some of you are unables to eccess my page. I am giving you my story here, but please visit this page when you have time later, because it has a lot of info. So here is my story: I was trying to get pregnant since I was 21 and it was no success, so at the age 26 (that was in 1997) I went to the infertility treatment. After the first laparoscopy I was diagnosed with Endo. I managed to get pregnant right away, but had miscarriage. Pain was getting worse and worse. I went through second lap. The pain got even worse. The doctor's office told me: "There is nothing we can do about it - just take the painkiller". The pain was so bad - so from the waist down I felt that my muscles were very sore - it is like I was running for a long time the day before. Every day was like a nightmare. I don't want to tell you what kind of diagnosis I went through, including the scary ones. My pain was everywhere: in the abdomen, in the kidneys, in the bladder, in the hands, in the hips, in the legs... When I came to the doctor’s office I felt like I live there. Anyway, to make the story short: I had to go to the birth control pills (Necon). I stayed on them for 1.5 years. I began to exercise first very easy and then, when my body got used to it I began doing it quite heavily - running, weight lifting. A lot of relaxation. My pain is gone (I am knocking the wood). I took my mind away from it also. I got into the graphical programming which I love. We moved temporarily to California, because of my husband's job - we did a lot of hiking here. So I really don't know what exactly helped: birth control pills, exercises, or change of the climate from Florida to California, or maybe all together, but I AM COMPLETELY PAIN FREE FOR MORE THEN 2 YEARS! I would say that recovery took about 9 month. Sometimes the pain came back after that, but it was nothing, comparing to the pain I had before. I remember sitting and dreaming that some day I will be pain free, but I thought it will never happen. I will never forget that time of my life. So, Ladies there will be days when you will be free of pain too, and I am saying my prayers for you. I know how you feel - I've been there. So, please, believe in the best. I know that many of you have been through a lot, and I am holding your hands. Don’t loose the hope! There some things that helped to relieve the pain: - having chamomile tea - keeping my feet and hands worm - keeping the abdomen worm - walking barefoot on a ruff surface - not swimming in the pool (chlorine) I wish you the best of health and pain free days! :)
-- Olga.
