HPV is a virus that is always in your body - it never goes away, only goes into dormancy. If you are having an outbreak you will have actual "warts" otherwise it is considered dormant. HPV outbreaks are strongly correlated with your immune system so do your very best to be stress free, exercise, eat healthy, and get the proper nutrients. In terms of pregnancy - HPV alone isn't usualy a factor in infertility - but often other std's which have been undetected (such as clymidia) can cause infection, and scar tissue which impedes the egg and sperm from fertilizing. Hope this all makes sense - I'll be happy to tell you more, but I recommend talking with your nurse practicioner - you can also get a lot of info on HPV online. Good luck.
