Sorry you are in such pain, but if it helps, do know that this is very normal and doesn't mean anything else is "wrong." My first period after a lap took forever to come, and lasted a while. I began BCPs right after that, so I don't know if the next cycle would have been bad as well. We all heal differently. Also, your first period after anesthesia -- even if you don't have surgery on your reproductive organs -- can be very intense. I had an *awful* one after knee surgery! My acupuncturist said she sees that very often.

So good luck... just know that your body is still readjusting to what it perceives as trauma, and it will heal... and let's just hope this helps.
