endometriosis and ovulationFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Mar 24 08:01:55 2002
I was diagnosed with "severe" endometriosis about a year ago, and had a lap last Feb (2001) to remove an endometioma on my left ovary. Now my husband and I have been TTC for about 6 months (I had been on the pill for 7 months continuously after the lap, with no breaks for periods). I have been taking my temps and monitoring cervical fluid, and this month I am at about day 23 of my cycle with no thermal shift yet. Within the past 10 days I had two "peaks" of stretchy egg-white CF, about 3 days apart--and have also been experiencing some pretty strong endo pain this past week. Can endometriosis affect ovulation? Up until this month, my cycles have been fairly regular--is it possible that the endo pain and the delay in the temp shift are related? Thx in advance for your help and advice. JS
