First Post, Old ProblemFrom: Ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Mar 11 11:21:42 2002
Hello, I've been reading your archives to try and steel my nerves for a GYN appointment tomorrow. I had a laparotomy last May, followed by 6 months of Lupron. The Lupron experience was very strange. Bloodwork showed menopausal hormone levels, but I kept having a period (and I never stopped lactating after having a baby in 1997). Post-lupron I've been on micronor BCP and tomorrow I see the doctor for a followup. A sono in December after the last lupron showed no irregularities, but I still hurt most of the time. Now my period has become almost perpetual, two weeks bleeding, two weeks off, two weeks back. I'm fed up and angry and not sure what to do next. I'm starting to think a hysterectomy doesn't sound quite so bad, but I fear that I'll go thru it and still hurt. Any advice? Ann
