Re: am I nuts

Tracy,

Boy, do I agree with you. I was misdiagnosed with IBS by my former internist. A couple of years later she also misdiagnosed a fibroid the size of a two and half month pregnancy. Blows my mind that she couldn't tell that something was wrong with my uterus during a pelvic, not to mention my excessive bleeding. I had to have a hyst ( which was very traumatic- ended up in ICU- because of the delay in diagnosis) and endo was found (was suspected prior to the surgery) with my uterus, left ovary and sigmoid colon all adhered together. No wonder my colon was "irritable." I personally think that not enough is known about endo and what it does to us, so that is why our symptoms get other more "rational and scientific" diagnoses attached to them.

Best wishes, D.N.
