Re: Endo help please!From: HEATHER (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Mar 2 21:04:18 2002
Vickie, I agree with Victoria about the laporoscopy. And if you have endo, the doctor will be able to tell how bad it is. The doctor that diagnosed mine was a fertility specialist and he told me I had a mild case (there's moderate, mild then severe) and put me on Ovral 21 birth control pills for 6 months. Once the 6 months was up, he put me on OrthoNovum 7/7/7. This was 9 years ago. Last week I had another laporoscopy because I started having pain again (after a LONG time without it). The doctor said that the endo is gone but I now have varicose veins on my uterus, which is totally unrelated and hereditary. Having a hysto is a major thing, so even if your doctor suggests it, you should get a second opinion. My mom had it done at the age of 24 and has been on hormones ever since because it causes you to go into premature menopause. Hope this information helps!!
