New - Just DiagnosedFrom: Liss (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Mar 1 12:42:11 2002
Hello ladies, I am new to this forum and I had my lap done on Monday Feb. 25th and I was very nervous. I have a STUPID doctor to whom I complained about pelvic pain and possible endometriosis since 1999 but she just kept telling me that I was too young to have it. I pressed the issued over and over again because I had to keep going to the Dr. for severe pelvic pains. She FINALLY ordered an ultrasound and they found a small cyst on my left ovary and then she ordered the surgery. She NEVER explained to me what would be done during the surgery etc. except that i would be diagnosed with it like I had suspected. I was officially diagnosed on Monday and the FIRST thing that I asked was, "Will I be able to have children". She said yes because it hadn't attacked ANY of my reproductive organs and then she suggested Lupron and then left without ANY further explanation. I really don't know what they do during the laprascopy but so could someone please tell me what happens during that procedure. Also, I'm 26 and have never been pregnant but my boyfriend and I have been "unoffically trying :0)" since December and to no avail., there is no baby, so could she be wrong about me being able to conceive?
