Hi Brandy:
My name is Susan and I've had endo for 30 years now. It sounds like your
doctor needs a wake up call. Your case to sue for malpractice would
probably be a bit weak, as you said "your word against hers". However, if
you can recall dates, discussions verbatim and facts, your best bet would be
to file a complaint with your provincial (or state for USA) medical board,
the one that regulates physicians and surgeons. Your doctor does not sound
so much guilty of malpractice but rather of negligence. Base upon the way
your filed complaint is dealt with will also give you a better idea if you
have a case to sue. If nothing else, the complaint will go into your
doctor's record and she will have to defend her actions. Be prepared to
look for another doctor though. It would probably be a good idea anyway,
she doesn't seem to have your best interests as her goal. Good luck.
Susan
