I also have IBS - if you're having a lot of gastro symptoms, you might want to check into it. In fact, my GI doc did a bunch of tests and told me that my IBS is, get this, worsened by the endometriosis. And one of the 5 docs I've had in the past three years told me that the muscle spasms ARE related to the endo. She said it was like when you get a headache, eventually your neck hurts, too, because your body has been trying to protect your hurting head, and in the process, it wears your neck out. For the spasming pain that is linked to my bowel disorder, I take an antispasmodic, and I've learned a few lamaze-like breathing techniques that work pretty well if the pain is bothersome and hurty, but not so bad you want to cry, you know what I mean?
