Re: Just diagnosedFrom: Wanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Feb 27 03:26:09 2002
Vicki, My advice...and that is all that it is! Would be to get a second opinion. Having a laproscopy does not risk you not having children. Not knowing you have Endo and leaving it untreated may leave you childless!! A diagnostic laproscopy might be your best bet if you can find a doctor that does understand infertility and Endometriosis. I understand where you are coming from. I have suffered from painful periods since I was 15. I saw several GYN that told me that I had PID......not sure how someone whom NEVER had sex every month could get PID. Although I know PID is very serious and should always be taking that......but I couldn't possibly have that.... It wasn't until I was 23 and in severe pain that a doctor finally saw that I had symptoms of Endometriosis! The specialists that I saw and GYN's say that it is a blessing that I started my family early. I had my daughter when I was 19 and my son at 21. I am trying to have a third......I have had an ovary removed and been on several Endo treatments.....no luck :*( I hope you find relief soon!!!! Please feel free to e-mail privately! endo93@hotmail.com Hugs, Wanda
