After some negotiation, the government agreed to pay compensation for the agricultural land which is to be forfeited for oil exploration. In the process of this negotiation, the Chief Land Officer who is a bosom friend to my late husband revealed to me that the Federal Government is proposing to pay foreigners who had established on the land a compensation of US$2,000,000.00 for one (1) hectare of land while the indigenes in accordance with 1968 land acquisition decree of our constitution will forfeit theirs. Be this as it is, my family cannot afford to loose completely as the palm tree land plantation is the only source of inn come to my family, besides, I am a widow. In lieu of the above,I am seeking your permission to present you as the foreign national whom my late husband sold his 6 hectares of land 5 yrs ago. Your percentage in this business would be negotiated before the the sum of US$12,000,000.00 (Twelve Million Dollars) being total compesation cost for 6 hectares would be transferred into your account.
