vague symptoms...From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Feb 8 15:13:45 2002
Curious if this is 'normal' to everyone,or if it might be related to endo. Do any of you ever have pain after urinating? I mean deep inside, kind of an achy feeling - not really associated at all with the uretha. It happens most often after urinating after I wake up, or if I really had to go. It lasts anywhere from 5-25 minutes, is achy/tightness inside, and often brings lower back pain. More background on me - I have not been diagnosed, but have (maybe stupidly) been waiting til things are really bad. I am not concerned with fertility problems, as if I have children, I plan to adopt. My mom had severe endo, don't know what stage, which was only discovered during a hysterectomy for fibroids. I have a history of bad cramps, clotting, lower back pain (but my uterus is also tilted backwards), constipation/sometimes loose stools, pain with deep penetration during sex. Birth control pills significantly helps with the cramping. Most pain is associated with my lower left abdomen, but a sigmoidoscopy reveals no problems with the descending colon. Am I being a hyperchondriac, or is it possible that these are symptoms of endo? thanks...
