Re: just had second lapFrom: Olivia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Feb 8 15:04:45 2002
Hi hon, I know exactly what you are going through. I had a lap. in October of 2000...where they removed endo. from my anterior and posterior cul-de-sac, uterine ligaments, and pelvic side wall. The pain came back almost immediately after the surgery...I then took a nine month course of Lupron, I just recently ended that....and the pain is worse than ever. My whole problem is that noone will do a second surgery on me....my gyn. thinks that things will look no worse..."and most likely better' than before the first surgery. I totally disagree with her...some of the other replies are proof that the endo can come back. I know it doesn't help you any, but I would actually be looking forward to more surgery...just to show my gyn. that she is clueless. Don't get me wrong...I hate surgery...but want to have some validation that there has to be a reason for this horrible pain. In your case...I'm not really sure what to tell you...like the others said...talk to your doctor about different treatment options...maybe there is something out there that will help you. I do know that it is frustrating and a horrible feeling to have things come back sooo soon...it makes you feel like all the treatments, surgeries, have just been in vain. I can advise you to stay strong and keep a positive attitude....which is much easier said than done. I have really found a lot of strength and encouragement at this site....and if nothing else..it helps to know that others are in your same boat...I hope things work out...good luck and keep us posted. luv, Olivia
