Hello endo victims everywhere; Had a visit with my gyn today and it did not go well. SHe sent me for an ultrasound a week ago fully expecting it to come back normal. It didn't showing a 3.2cm growth on the right ovary. I've had this before but today she put me on a new drug therpay because nothing else has worked so far. SHe has put me on a anti - inflammatory called Vioxx and mercifully prescribed narcotic pain killers. My questions are is this considered an acceptable treatment and what are the chances of a endometrioma or any cyst being malignant? SHe wants me to try the drug therapy for three months first then get the ultrasound again and she where we're at. There's too much risk of damaging the ovaries if she tried to remove it now. Can these drugs actually suppress or even cause a cyst to regress? Can a cyst be cancerous? Can endo itself ever cause a cancerous growth to occur? I'm petrifed girls, anyone that can offer anything is deeply appreciated.
