Dear Cicily, A few years ago, during consultation before my first endo lap, my gyn/surgeon discussed this presacral neurectomy with me -- he was opposed to the procedure and does not perform them because he said he had heard of incidents in which the patients did have bowel trouble subsequent to the procedure. So yes, it is most definitely a distinct possibility that your bowel problem is related to your presacral neurectomy. I'm sorry, I'm sure your upset that he not only performed a procedure without your permission, but also left you with bowel problems as a result. I have heard of some women on the various forums who've claimed that the presacral neurectomy really helped them but then I hear a story like yours.... I don't know where you live, but maybe you can find a great doc at the website below who may be able to help you or direct you to someone who can.
