The Lupron did actually help my pain when I was on it...but as soon as I stopped...the pain came back, worse than ever. I went back to my Gyn. and she want's me to take another nine month course.....which I am totally against. According to all of the stuff that I've read...it's not supposed to be taken any longer than six months. The whole bone loss issue really scares me...I had/ and still have really achey joints...I'm not sure if it is lupron related or not? Other than that..the side effects weren't too bad....annoying hot flashes..and some night sweats..a few headaches here and there...other than that..it wasn't too bad. My gyn. did give me some "add-back" estrogen patches...for the headaches..which helped. I guess taking the lupron will ultimately be your own decision..if the sideïfects get too bad...you could always stop the drug. Don't let them talk you into taking it for longer than it is FDA approved for though (like my gyn. did) I'm a registered nurse...and totally disagree with going against the FDA..it just can't be safe..anyways...good luck and let us know what you decide... luv, olivia
