-- Hmmmmm? I would have to guess that the two of you are talking about "bits and pieces" as in thicker clot-like pieces of blood or what may look like tissue. Remember what a "period" is and that your endometrial lining is sloughing off so you may see more congealed (sp?) or thicker bloody "bits and pieces." Make sense? And no, nothing about endo is particluarly "normal" - thank God we are all extremely "UNIQUE" women here!! Hope this was helpful....I'm not a physician but as I recall that would be the answer he'd/she'd give. And lest not forget that darker blood or "bits" is likely old blood and quite "normal" for women of all ages only sometimes we endo women tend to do things a bit more on the unique side of things. (One more side note: keeping track of how thick/heavy your menstruation is as in how many pads or tampons daily and the type of bleeding will help your physician better treat and diagnose you. ALWAYS know when your last period was before seing your doc. And remember, you are a vital part of the team!!) Peace and Light, Sally
