Re: a strange case of endo????From: Kate (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Dec 23 20:32:09 2001
I would definitely seek a second opinion about your endo. Particularly if the disease isn't interfering with your life right now, pain-wise (lucky you). There are all sorts of treatment options you can try, apart from a hyst, which won't necessarily stop the disease. It depends on your concerns/plans about fertility what you want to do. About your organs sticking together - it sounds terrifying but that's a very common effect of the endo and the adhesions it causes - and it can be treated surgically, so don't worry! Is there an endo association in Canada you can talk to? My advice is, find out as much about endo as you can, and decide how you want to deal with it, looking at your health and your lifestyle etc holistically.
