Dear Jane Doe

Three years ago when i was first diagnosed with Endo i was put on oral Provera. Within a week of taking it i started to bleed - not normal loss but very dark brown and thick stuff. I returned to my GP who told me to keep taking it for a while longer to see if it settled down in any way. I was also suffering from wild mood swings that varied from deep depression and unable to stop crying to being psychotic and wanting to 'stab' anyone who came within 10 feet of me. After 5 weeks my GP told me not to take any more tablets, i stopped immediately. Within a few days the loss stopped and my moods improved. I was still in pain but had a sense of relief not having to take the tablets anymore. I have had extensive laser surgery this year and have just finished a course of Zoladex injections. I am yet to have my first period to judge what pain level i am going to be at. Hope this helps, i know how Endo affects your life.
