Dr. appointment tomorrow

Tomorrow I have my six week post-op appointment (after total hysterectomy). I will be talking to my doctor about not being able to sleep...she has been through all this herself, so maybe she will have some good suggestions for me!

I am also going to be talking to her about depression and mood swings. For the last couple of weeks I have been so depressed. I feel like a vital part of me is missing...really did not expect to have these kind of feelings, I had already given up on having children. Of course my mom has not been very helpful...my brother and sister-in-law just had their third boy (in four years) and my sister-in-law had her tubes tied...so now, every time I talk to my mom, she manages to work the conversation around so she can remind me that she will never have a granddaughter. I don't think she realizes what her comments do to me emotionally, but I would think she could be a little more compationate. Having a hysterectomy at 32 was not a decision I made lightly.

Thanks for listening to me, I really needed to get that off my chest.
