HI TAMMY. I READ YOUR MESSAGE ON THE BOARD. I AM 31 YEARS OLD AN I HAVE ENDO FOR 9 YEARS. I HAVE 6 LAPS, MY RIGHT OVARY REMOVED AND HAVE HAD 2 CHILDREN. I HAVE SUFFERED FOR YEARS, LISTENING TO DOCOTRS WHO WOULD TELL ME THAT THE PAIN WAS ALL IN MY HEAD, AND THAT I SHOULD ACCEPT THE PAIN BECAUSE I WAS A WOMAN. I WOULD CRY ALL THE TIME BECAUSE I FELT THAT NO ONE UNDERSTAND HOW I WAS FEELING. THIS IS A HARD ENOUGH DISEASE TO LIVE WITH WITHOUT PEOPLE TELLING YOU THAT YOU ARE CRAZY. I HAVE TRIED EVERY PAIN MEDICATION OUT THERE FOR PAIN AND FOUND THAT NOTHING WORKED. I ALSO CHANGED DOCTORS BECAUSE THE ONE THAT I WAS GOING TO SAID THAT HE COULDNOT HELP ME AND THAT THE PAIN WAS IN MY HEAD. THE ONE THAT I AM SEEING NOW IS EXCELLENT. HE REALLY SEEMS TO CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS, HE LISTENS TO YOU AND HE PUT ME ON A MEDICATION CALLED AMITRIPTYLINE. IT IS USED FOR MANY KINDS OF PAIN AND SO FAR IT SEEMS O BE HELPING ME. I DO STILL GET A SCATTERED DAY WHEN THE PAIN IS BAD, BUT TAKE MY PILLS AND I AM OKAY. I HOPE THAT YOU WILL E-MAIL ME BECAUSE US GIRLS WITH ENDO HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER. TAKE CARE. KIM.
